Laboratory Assistant

Laboratory Assistant at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is Full-time and will work 8-hour, Evening shifts. Performs some or all of the following duties in one or more laboratory sections: Coordinates and participates in specimen collections, prepares specimens for testing, dispatches specimens to section or referral laboratories, and receives, processes, and disseminates requests, specimens, reports, and test results as indicated. Receives and gives testing information; prepares reagents and media; performs phlebotomies, when assigned. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Upon hire: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License
• Upon hire: California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 months Phlebotomy experience.
• 1 year Office work experience.
• 1 year Laboratory experience.
• 6 months Acute care hospital experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
