This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated material handling equipment and associated control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience working with PLC-controlled equipment, and a passion for supporting highly automated manufacturing or distribution environments.Location: Libertyville, ILShift Schedule: 6:30am-6:30pm Rotating shiftKey ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on:Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)Conveyors, lifts, and material handling equipmentBarcode scanners, sensors, safety devices, and charging systemsDiagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and communication-related equipment issues.Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and assist with identifying control system faults.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.Respond to equipment downtime events and safely recover automated systems to operational status.Monitor automation system performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.Document maintenance activities, repairs, root cause findings, and corrective actions within the maintenance management system.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred.At least 3 years of hands-on experience maintaining industrial automation or automated material handling equipment, with ASRS and AMR experience preferred.Experience supporting and troubleshooting Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) or similar robotic systems.Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial setting.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems.Familiarity with industrial networking, sensors, HMIs, drives, and safety circuits.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with automated warehouse, fulfillment center, or distribution center operations.Knowledge of PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar systems.Experience with robotics, machine vision systems, industrial communication networks, and automated material handling equipment.Certification or training in automation, robotics, mechatronics, or industrial maintenance.What you'll receive for the great work you provide:Full range of medical, dental, and vision plansLife InsuranceShort-term and Long-term DisabilityMatching 401(k) ContributionsVacation and Paid Sick TimeTuition ReimbursementApplication Deadline:Applications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
