Job Summary
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to turn raw data into actionable business insights. In this role, you will collect, clean, and analyze datasets to identify trends, forecast performance, and create intuitive dashboards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to help key decision-makers make data-driven strategic choices.
Responsibilities
- Data Processing & Cleaning: Extract, transform, and clean raw data from relational databases and external sources using SQL and scripting languages.
- Dashboard & Reporting: Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Exploratory Data Analysis: Conduct exploratory analysis to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and operational optimization opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, operations, and marketing teams to define business metrics, gather reporting requirements, and present findings.
- Data Quality & Governance: Audit data pipelines and databases regularly to maintain data integrity, consistency, and reporting accuracy.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Deliver timely ad-hoc data requests, business modeling, and quantitative support for executive decision-making.
Skills & Qualifications
- Database & Querying: Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries (joins, aggregations, CTEs, window functions).
- BI & Visualization: Hands-on experience with business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Scripting Languages: Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automated reporting (using libraries like Pandas and NumPy).
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving ability with a track record of translating complex datasets into clear, business-focused insights.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical findings and quantitative trends to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field preferred); 1–3+ years of experience in a data or business analyst role.
