Qualifications Completion of a recognized Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) certification EIPA credential accepted in school settings Experience supporting k-12 students preferred Comfort interpreting for multiple students, sometimes simultaneously, in classroom settings Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to adapt to different subjects and teaching styles Responsibilities Interpret classroom instruction, activities, and discussions using American Sign Language (ASL) or other required sign systems Foster seamless communication between students, teachers, and peers Support both individual and small groups of students across a mainstream curriculum Maintain confidentiality and adhere to established professional standards Collaborate with educators and other staff to ensure students needs are met Contribute to an inclusive, positive school environment Why consider this contract position?
