Program Director – High-Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) Salary: $105,000–$110,000 annually DOE Location: San Diego County, CA Status: Full-Time, Exempt Lead a New Program That Changes Lives New Alternatives, Inc. (NAI) is a nonprofit behavioral health organization with over 45 years of experience serving children, youth, and families throughout San Diego County. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Director to lead our newly awarded High-Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) Program. This is a unique opportunity to help launch and shape a new High-Fidelity Wraparound program within an established, mission-driven organization with decades of experience serving children and families throughout San Diego County. The Program Director will play a key role in building program infrastructure, developing a strong team culture, and ensuring youth and families receive high-quality, family-driven, and culturally responsive services. The Program Director will be responsible for the successful operation of the HFW program, including staff supervision, service delivery, quality assurance, community collaboration, and ensuring adherence to High-Fidelity Wraparound values and practices. Position Summary The Program Director provides day-to-day leadership and oversight of the High-Fidelity Wraparound Program. This position is responsible for supervising program staff, monitoring service quality, supporting successful implementation, ensuring contract compliance, and fostering strong relationships with youth, families, and system partners. The ideal candidate will have experience in children's behavioral health, Wraparound, intensive care coordination, or related community-based services and will be passionate about family-driven, youth-guided, and strength-based practices. Essential Responsibilities Provide daily leadership and oversight of HFW program operations. Supervise, coach, and support program staff, including care coordinators, facilitators, family partners, youth partners, and other assigned team members. Ensure services are delivered consistent with High-Fidelity Wraparound principles, values, and fidelity expectations. Support hiring, on-boarding, training, and retention of program staff. Monitor staff productivity, documentation, service quality, and program performance. Ensure timely and accurate completion of required documentation and reporting. Support implementation of program policies, procedures, workflows, and best practices. Participate in quality improvement activities and use data to improve outcomes. Collaborate with San Diego County Behavioral Health Services, Child Welfare Services, Probation, schools, and community partners. Support effective Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and cross-system collaboration. Maintain a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered program culture. Assist with program budget monitoring, resource needs, and operational planning. Represent NAI at provider meetings, community meetings, and partner collaborations. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or related field preferred. California behavioral health license (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) REQUIRED. Minimum five (5) years of experience working with children, youth, and families in behavioral health, child welfare, Wraparound, or related services. Minimum three (2) years of supervisory experience. Experience managing a community-based behavioral health program or service team. Knowledge of trauma-informed care, Systems of Care, family-centered practice, and youth-guided services. Experience with county-funded behavioral health programs and Medi-Cal documentation requirements preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience with Wraparound or High-Fidelity Wraparound services. Experience working with San Diego County Behavioral Health Services. Experience with Child and Family Teams (CFTs), Child Welfare Services, Probation, or other child-serving systems. Experience supporting program start-up, implementation, and team development.
