Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions addressing a wide range of mental health concerns such as addiction, anxiety, and depression.

• Utilize various psychological assessments and testing tools to accurately evaluate and diagnose clients presenting with diverse issues.

• Craft personalized treatment plans based on thorough assessments, aligning therapeutic goals with clients' needs and aspirations.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention services, including suicide risk evaluations and liaising with emergency services as necessary.

• Engage in collaborative care practices by coordinating with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment strategies.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation of clinical notes, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Contribute to the development and improvement of clinical policies and procedures to enhance service delivery consistently.

• Participate in regular staff meetings, professional development workshops, and training sessions to stay abreast of current trends and practices in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LCSW within our Detox Center, you will be working primarily with individuals from various backgrounds who are grappling with substance use disorders and related mental health issues. This role requires empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to support clients in overcoming their challenges and achieving lasting recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution and current LCSW licensure in the state of Connecticut.

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience providing mental health services to individuals, couples, and families.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.

• Ability to engage effectively with a diverse client population while addressing complex psychological and social issues.

• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the capability to relay complex concepts clearly.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify client needs and implement effective interventions.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, experience in detoxification settings and crisis intervention is preferred. Familiarity with telehealth technologies and virtual therapy modalities would also be advantageous as we continue to embrace remote service delivery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
