Advanced Care Practitioner

The Department of Corrections is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Advanced Care Practitioner (ACP) for the Monroe Correctional Complex located in Monroe, WA. This position may be filled by a Physician Assistant-Certified or an Advance Care Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). The PA/ARNP objective is, under the supervision of the Facility Medical Director, to deliver quality health care to MCC's patient population in a timely and professional manner. Promote a healthy lifestyle and provide patient health-care education. This will include assessing, diagnosing, and treating the multitude of medical problems encountered. Additional objectives include monitoring, managing, coordinating and delivering health care and counseling, consulting of health services. Major administrative responsibilities include supervising and monitoring all level of health care services delivered to the Incarcerated Individuals population and assessing Health Service Managers and the Facility Medical Directors in monitoring expenditures, planning and organizing health care services, facilities and other programs. Practices in accordance with DOC Policy and the WA DOC Health Plan, participates in Health Services Quality Improvement activities as appropriate and participates in formal Clinical Oversight according to Facility and DOC Health Services Clinical Oversight structure, Clinical oversight will be provided by MCC Facility Medical Director.
