Job Details Position: Tax, Trusts & Estates Paralegal Employment Type: Non-Exempt Location: Century City, CA Schedule: 5 days onsite per week for the first 30 days; thereafter, 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week Salary: $120,000–$150,000 base salary About the Role We are seeking an experienced Tax, Trusts & Estates Paralegal to support attorneys with estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related tax and transactional matters. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, can manage multiple matters independently in a fast-paced environment, and communicates clearly and professionally with attorneys and clients. Essential Duties Assist with all aspects of post-death trust administration, including preparation of notices, assessor forms, subtrust documents, asset allocation and transfer documents, and other related filings. Assist with trust funding and the transfer of assets, including real property, business interests, and financial accounts. Prepare deeds and other documents related to the transfer of real estate and other assets. Review trust and probate accountings. Review and prepare federal estate and gift tax returns (Forms 706 and 709). Prepare and handle Heggstad Petitions and other Trust Petitions for filing with Probate Court from start to finish. Prepare and handle probate matters from start to finish. Prepare and file California Form BOE-100-B for legal entities. Draft estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and ancillary documents. Retrieve, review, organize, and maintain client and matter files with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Conduct legal and factual research related to assigned matters. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a Tax, Trusts & Estates Paralegal at a law firm. Four-year college degree or equivalent. ABA-approved paralegal certificate.
