Employment ConsultantReports to: Employment Services ManagerLocation: 441 W Kirkpatrick Street, Syracuse NYFull Time 35-40 hours a weekNon-Exempt: $19.00 - $20.00 plus benefitsPosition requires weekend and evenings availabilityAbout UsLAUNCH has been proudly serving the greater Onondaga County area for 40 years. We serve and support anyone who seeks guidance in learning. This can include children, adults, families, parents, and caregivers from all backgrounds as well as learning styles.About the RoleWe are looking for a self-starter dedicated to lifelong learning and are passionate for teaching others so they can succeed in the workforce.Responsibilities include:Assessing and documenting participant's skills, needs, and interests to determine appropriate employment opportunities and supports neededResearching, developing, and creating internships and employment opportunitiesDeveloping and maintaining relationships with local businesses, human resources groups, and employment networksProviding job coachingEducation, Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree and one year of experience in Employment Services or related fields, or a combination of education and experience that can be equivalent.High School Diploma required.Customer service, sales or training experience preferred.Basic technology/email skills requiredExperience working with individuals with different learning styles and abilities preferred.Must want to work one on one with individuals be excited to make a difference in the lives of others!Conditions of EmploymentMust possess a valid driver's license and transportation necessary to meet program needs.Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
