Solar Programs, REC Contracts Associate (Hybrid - Oakland, CA; Portland, OR; Chicago, IL- US)

Overview Energy Solutions is a growing company focused on delivering large‑scale energy, carbon, and water‑use savings through market‑based programs. We are seeking a full‑time Solar Associate, REC Contracts to join our Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Team. The role involves managing contract‑related workflows and processing large spreadsheet‑based batches of applications, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and adherence to SOPs. Daily Responsibilities Execute assigned program workflows (e.g., claim intake, completeness review, eligibility verification within guidelines). Review, validate, and process applications and claims in accordance with program rules, eligibility criteria, and SOPs. Escalate non‑routine issues, complaints, or exceptions to the Project Manager as appropriate. Maintain accurate records and documentation in program systems, databases, or CRMs. Review work for accuracy and completeness before submission and flag issues to the Project Manager. Execute data validation and quality assurance activities for assigned workflows using defined checklists and processes. Track and report discrepancies to support consistency and reduce rework. Apply and update established processes and documentation to support accuracy and consistency. Maintain detailed documentation to support audits, reporting, and program transparency. Minimum Qualifications A high school degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in project management or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to answer stakeholder and program participant inquiries via email or phone concisely, courteously, and professionally. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify issues and escalate when needed. Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple tasks and deadlines and respond to internal communication from peers and managers promptly. Salary and Benefits The salary range for this role is $60,000–$70,000 per year, with a target compensation of $60,000–$66,500 based on experience and qualifications. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, pre‑tax contribution plans, and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
