# Materials Management AssociatePrinting Plant • Eagan, Minnesota## Job DescriptionWe are hiring a Materials Management Associate for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. As a Materials Management Associate, you will be responsible for performing set-up tasks, monitoring the equipment, and troubleshooting on our Core Publishing Solutions team. For this role, you would also be eligible for a bonus of $2,500 upon being in the role for 90 days.Hours of Work* 3rd shift – 10:30 pm – 6:30 am* Occasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts## Key Responsibilities* Reviewing job specifications for material and set-up requirements* Performing set-up tasks* Monitoring the equipment and product quality; obtaining maintenance support for equipment as needed* Performing simple to moderately complex troubleshooting related to product or equipment* Communicating effectively during shift and at shift hand-off* Evaluating mechanical condition of equipment, completing preventative maintenance* Using computer-based workflow applications to manage files* Accurately documenting activities on Tier Boards and in relevant systems (MII, SAP), including material usage and equipment issues* Performing feeding, catching off, stacking, bundling, or physical inventory cycle count activities* Actively participating in company safety programs and contributing to a safe culture* Meeting or exceeding established quality and productivity standards utilizing standard work procedures* Generating, implementing, and sustaining continuous improvement ideas* Participating in project teams as needed* Providing backup for other operators to cover absences or breaks* Recommending and implementing process improvements## Required Qualifications* High School Diploma/GED or higher* Good mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and work independently and as part of a team to resolve issues* Knowledge of Lean concepts and continuous improvement* Competent with rulers and measurement* Good communication skills* Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders* Can regularly lift at least 5 lbs above the shoulder, and push, pull, and lift at least 10 lbs occasionally up to 50 lbs* Can regularly stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, and kneel* Can wear Personal Protective Equipment including steel toe shoes and ear protection## Preferred Qualifications* Vocational or technical degree* Experience on Perfect Binders with up to 40 station collators, 3-knife trimmers, inline boxing, and palletizing* Experience with hard-cover casing-in lines* Experience with collating/kitting lines with up to 30 streamfeeder stations* Experience with packaging/cartooning lines* Experience with Sitma mail lines* Experience with Aster sewing equipment* Experience with hot foil stampers#LI-CB1**What’s in it For You?*** **Compensation:** 2nd shift differential of $4.00 per hour, 3rd shift differential of $5.00 per hour, and a bonus plan.* **Flexibility & Work-Life Balance:** Flex My Way is a set of supportive workplace policies designed to help manage personal and professional responsibilities, whether caring for family, giving back to the community, or finding time to refresh and reset. The base compensation range varies across locations.For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation hourly range for this role is $18 USD - $34 USD.Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
