Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense 3-5 Years Experience

Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team in Sugar Land, Texas. The firm specializes in first- and third-party insurance defense, handling a variety of personal injury, property damage, and breach of contract claims. This role offers hands-on experience, client interaction, and opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities Manage an active litigation caseload from inception through resolution. Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents. Draft and respond to written discovery and develop strategic discovery plans. Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials. Develop and execute litigation strategies in collaboration with partners. Communicate effectively with clients and provide timely case status reports. Maintain accurate billing entries and comply with case management requirements. Work both independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and achieve successful outcomes. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active license and eligibility to practice law in Texas. 3-5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and commitment to providing exceptional client service. Education & Certifications Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications: Active license to practice law in Texas.
