Salary Range: $56,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Zeeland region seeking Staff Accountants. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close, accruals, and reclassifications.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and inventory valuation.
• Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Support external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
