Summr Institute Summr Institute is Summr’s online learning and career preparation platform designed for students pursuing careers in higher finance. The platform is built to help undergraduate and master’s students bridge the gap between classroom‑based finance education and the practical skills expected in professional roles across investment banking, investment management, private equity, corporate finance, financial research, risk, compliance, capital markets, and related fields. Through structured learning modules, video lessons, quizzes, guided exercises, platform‑based assessments, case studies, and practical training materials, Summr Institute is being developed to help students better understand how finance actually works in professional environments. As part of this new project, Summr is seeking student participants to help test, review, document, and improve the platform before and during broader student rollout. Role Description The Junior Quality Assurance Analyst, Student Participant will support the development and improvement of Summr Institute by testing the platform from the perspective of a student user. This role is ideal for students who are interested in finance, technology, online education, product testing, user experience, documentation, and operational process improvement. Key Responsibilities Platform Testing & Quality Assurance – test new and existing Summr Institute platform features from a student user perspective. Review student registration, login, onboarding, course access, lesson progression, quiz completion, and certification workflows. Identify bugs, errors, technical issues, confusing screens, or inconsistent platform behavior. Test whether lessons, modules, quizzes, buttons, links, forms, dashboards, and navigation elements work as intended. Review platform performance across desktop and mobile views where applicable. Document any user experience friction points that could prevent students from completing the program successfully. Confirm that gated content, course, completion requirements, quizzes, and progress tracking function properly. Help test new releases before they are made available to a wider student audience. Learning Content Review – review finance, markets, banking, investment research, accounting, modeling, risk, compliance, and career preparation content for clarity and usability. Check lessons and materials for formatting consistency, grammar, broken references, missing information, or unclear instructions. Provide feedback on whether content is understandable for undergraduate and master’s students. Identify sections where students may need additional explanations, examples, definitions, visuals, or support materials. Review quizzes, assessments, and practice questions for clarity, answer consistency, and alignment with the lesson content. Flag content that feels repetitive, unclear, too advanced, too basic, or disconnected from the intended learning outcome. Support the team in improving the student learning experience before broader launch. Qualifications Current undergraduate or master’s student pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Accounting, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related analytical field. Strong interest in higher finance, investment banking, investment management, private equity, capital markets, financial research, risk, compliance, fintech, or education technology. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, bugs, broken links, confusing workflows, or unclear instructions. Comfortable testing web‑based platforms, online learning tools, dashboards, quizzes, forms, student portals, and digital workflows. Ability to follow structured testing instructions, QA checklists, and review processes. Clear written communication skills with the ability to document issues, feedback, and recommendations in an organized and actionable way. Willingness to review finance‑related learning content for clarity, formatting, usability, and student understanding. Ability to provide thoughtful feedback from the perspective of a student user. Comfortable working independently in a remote or flexible environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to track findings, notes, screenshots, and testing results. Professional, reliable, and collaborative approach to working with internal teams. Interest in helping improve student onboarding, platform usability, learning materials, documentation, and support processes. Prior experience with QA testing, user acceptance testing, product testing, documentation, online learning platforms, Excel, Google Workspace, Notion, Airtable, Jira, Trello, or similar tools is helpful but not required. Prior coursework or project experience in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, data analytics, programming, product management, or business operations is a plus. Interested in this role?
