Academic Faculty Opportunity - Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program Director - Orlando, FL Overview AdventHealth Graduate Medical Education in Orlando, Florida is seeking a dynamic, hardworking, and broadly skilled osteopathic Family Medicine physician to serve as Program Director for the Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program. Ranked by US News and World Report, AdventHealth Orlando has consecutively been awarded "Best Hospital" for the past fourteen years in Central Florida. The residency program is based at AdventHealth East Orlando, a 295-bed facility that is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in the country. The program is among the most progressive training programs in the osteopathic profession, with eight new residents each academic year and two new residents in the ONMM3 residency. The program’s main affiliation is with Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Program Responsibilities Clinical teaching in an outpatient setting; opportunity to teach on the inpatient ONMM consult service. Develop a private patient base with dedicated time each week. Focus on clinical teaching skills centered on preventive and evidence-based medicine. Allocate 50% of duties to clinical work and 50% to administrative tasks. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience in residency education. Board certified in Family Medicine. Preferred: Experience leading an osteopathic program with a vision to increase academic activity (research, posters, presentations). Dynamic communication skills and alignment with AdventHealth’s mission and vision. Practice Description This opportunity includes call coverage, competitive compensation, and occurrence-based malpractice coverage.
