ROLE PURPOSE

ZURU is opening a brand new office and showroom in Issaquah , minutes from Costco's global headquarters, and we're looking for the first hire on our Club Channel team. This role supports ZURU Toys across Costco, Sam's Club and BJ's Wholesale.

You don't need years of experience for this one. We care more about who you are than what's on your CV. If you're ambitious, curious, driven and the kind of person who spots something that needs doing and just does it, we want to hear from you. This is a great first step for recent graduates or people early in their career.

You'll work side by side with the Sales Director – Club Channel, learn the business from the inside, and get real responsibility from day one. We're one of the fastest growing toy companies in the world, and this is a rare chance to learn how a company innovates, disrupts categories and grows fast.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
You'll help build our Issaquah team from scratch, working with colleagues across New Zealand, China and the US. You'll learn how we win space in Costco, Sam's Club and BJ's, both in-club and online, and how we make sure everything runs perfectly once we're there. Over time you'll get to know the systems and processes behind the Club Channel inside out, and learn how to turn data into the arguments that win new business. You'll live and breathe the ZURU DNA every day.

HOW THE ROLE SPLITS
This is a founding role, so you'll wear a few hats. Roughly, your time will split:

• 60% – Commercial: supporting our club accounts, pulling together sales numbers and helping build buyer presentations.

• 25% – Showroom: looking after our new Issaquah showroom and making sure it always looks its best.

• 15% – Office: helping run the new office day to day while the team is small.

As the team grows, the office and showroom tasks shrink and your commercial responsibility grows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Club Account Support: Help manage the day-to-day running of our club business, including setting up new products, keeping prices and details accurate, tracking orders and submitting information through Costco, Sam's Club and BJ's supplier systems. We'll teach you the systems. You bring the attention to detail.

• Sales Analysis: Dig into sales, stock and market data to spot what's working and where we can grow. You'll help build our weekly and monthly reports and learn how the numbers shape the decisions we make with buyers.

• Buyer Presentations: Work with the Sales Director to put together presentations for new products and buyer meetings, organise the samples that go with them, and follow up afterwards so nothing gets missed.

• Showroom: Look after our Issaquah showroom, working with our international showroom team to keep every product and display up to date and ready for buyer visits.

• Logistics: Help keep track of orders and shipments so our products arrive in club on time.

• Working Across Teams: Be the go-to person connecting the channel with our marketing, supply chain, finance and product teams around the world, chasing answers across time zones and making sure things get done.

• Problem Solving: Spot problems and opportunities early, and come up with ideas to fix or improve them. You'll be helping build the way this team works for years to come.

• Customer Follow-Up: Follow up on customer requests and help build strong relationships with our club partners.

• Office Support: Help run the new Issaquah office day to day, from supplies to keeping things organised and making it a great place to work. We expect to hand this over as the team grows.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• In your first 90 days: you know our products, understand how the club systems work and know who to go to internally. You're running our weekly reports reliably, and you've helped get the showroom set up for its first buyer visits (first 30 days).

• By 6 months: you're confidently running the day-to-day side of the channel, including product setup, order tracking and reporting, and you're starting to spot opportunities in the data on your own.

• By 12 months: you're contributing ideas to buyer meetings and line reviews, presenting parts of the business internally, and helping welcome and train the next people to join the team.

WHERE THIS ROLE CAN GO
As the Club Channel business and team grow, several paths open up, and we'll build the plan with you rather than for you:

• Managing a club account of your own

• Sales planning and analytics

• Leading channel and business operations as the Issaquah office grows

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• A university degree (business, commerce, marketing or similar is great, but not essential) or equivalent experience. Recent graduates are very welcome.

• Ambition and drive. You want to learn fast and grow your career.

• Curiosity. You ask questions and want to understand how things work.

• Initiative. You don't wait to be told. You see what needs doing and get on with it.

• Good with numbers and comfortable in Excel, or keen to get there quickly.

• Strong attention to detail. In this channel, small mistakes can be expensive.

• Organised and able to manage your own time and priorities.

• Confident and friendly with people, including customers and senior leaders.

• A team player who's happy to roll up their sleeves. In a brand new office, no job is beneath any of us.

NICE TO HAVE

• An internship, part-time job or placement in retail, sales or consumer products.

• Experience working with customers, for example in retail, hospitality or events.

• Any exposure to PowerPoint, data tools or supplier systems.

• Leadership in a uni club, sports team or side project that shows you take initiative.
