This company manufactures high-precision wire drawing dies and tooling used throughout the wire and cable industry. As a Laser Drilling Operator, you will operate specialized laser drilling equipment used in the manufacturing of precision tooling.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Laser Operator Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 18.88 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 03:00pm)Operate and monitor laser drilling equipment used to manufacture precision wire-drawing diesSet up and position small, precision components in the machineFollow work instructions, specifications, and production requirementsMonitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed Inspect finished components for accuracy and qualityUse measuring equipment and inspection tools to verify dimensions Identify defects, inconsistencies, or machine issues and report them appropriatelyMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all safety and quality proceduresLaser Operator Qualifications:Manufacturing, machine operating, CNC, laser, or precision machining experience is preferredStrong attention to detail and ability to work with very small componentsComfortable using basic measuring tools and inspection equipmentAbility to read and follow detailed work instructions Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized equipmentAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive precision workDependable attendance and a strong work ethicPrevious experience in a precision manufacturing environment is a plusApplicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
