Must-Have:
Experience in managing a diverse patient population, including adult burn and pediatric trauma patients.
Strong medical surgical background.
Experience with the EPIC charting system.


Description:
The position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical care.
The unit consists of a 15-room facility with a total of 26 beds.
The patient population includes adults requiring burn reconstruction and pediatric trauma.
The average daily census is approximately 22 patients.
Staffing ratios are 3-4 patients to 1 nurse during the day and 4-5 patients to 1 nurse at night.
Nurses will assist with anesthesia-assisted procedures for painful wound care.
Nitrous oxide is available for patient use during procedures.
A wound care RN will provide assistance during 8-hour day shifts.
There will be a focus on etCO2 monitoring for specific patient populations.
Candidates with pediatric experience are preferred but not required.
Healthcare teams will include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
The candidate should be proficient in a range of nursing skills, including managing ports, blood product administration, and wound care.
Travelers will float to other acute care floors as needed based on facility needs.
This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Modules may be required to ensure compliance with facility standards.
