Resource Support Specialist | Staffing Office

The Resource Support Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining schedules and the coordination and appropriate allocation of personnel to units systemwide based on patient census/acuity data. Maintains statistical information, accurately interprets, follows, and supports personnel policies and procedures. Responsible for reviewing and auditing timecards for accuracy for employees in each assigned department. This role requires attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Schedule:

• Part time | 40-50 hours every 2 weeks | Onsite at the St. Cloud Hospital
• Day and Evening shifts | 8, 10 and 12-hour shifts | As early as 4am start

times | As late at 12:30am end times * Rotating weekends, every 3rd weekend | Rotating holidays Pay and Benefits: * Starting pay begins at $21.12 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience

• Pay range: $121.12 - $31.68 per hour

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a post-secondary secretarial program preferred.
• Scheduling experience highly preferred
• Previous hospital experience in patient care setting is highly preferred
• Proficient with Word, Excel, timekeeping, and scheduling applications

Core Functions: * Adjusts and allocates personnel to provide adequate coverage, including ill call replacement, float assignments, adding/deleting staff, and adjusting skill mix based on unit needs. * Inform appropriate management personnel of problems/issues related to staffing. * Accurately maintains records and work schedules, produces various reports, and compiles statistical information, required manually and in the computer system. * Completes last-minute scheduling changes and addresses any staffing-related concerns. * Collaborates with nursing supervisor or transfer facilitator to ensure the facility is appropriately staffed each shift. * Forecasts staffing needs using applicable technology.
