$21–$23 per Hour
Full-Time, Temp to Hire | Monday–Friday | Overtime Available
Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional with shipping and warehouse experience? Our growing manufacturing facility in Elgin is seeking a dependable Shipping Clerk to join our team. This is a hands-on role that combines shipping coordination, inventory tracking, documentation, and forklift operation in a fast-paced production environment.

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Overtime available as needed
Pay
- $21.00 – $23.00 per hour (Benefits offered once hired)
- Based on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
- Check in and assist truck drivers upon arrival
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Schedule inbound and outbound shipments
- Verify purchase orders and shipment details
- Prepare shipping paperwork and enter shipping data accurately
- Maintain records of products, orders, and customer shipments
- Verify truck seals and shipping documentation
- Coordinate export shipments, containers, and export paperwork
- Work closely with customer service, plant leadership, and warehouse personnel to ensure on-time deliveries
- Communicate shipment schedules and order status to supervisors and management
- Build and maintain positive relationships with transportation providers
- Keep shipping and warehouse areas organized and efficient
- Perform additional warehouse and shipping-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in shipping, warehousing, logistics, or distribution environments
- Forklift certification and experience operating forklifts
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with shipping documents and inventory records
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-service mindset
- Experience with shipping software, ERP systems, or inventory systems is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
