CARE Veterinary Center is looking for a  f ull - t ime Veterinary Technician Manager with strong leadership experience to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Frederick, MD.

About You

Y ou’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end- to- end care for our patients while leading a high-performing technician team. Your impact will range from hands-on care, managing acute, critical and complex cases, and performing advanced technical procedures, to leadership responsibilities including guiding direct reports and supporting daily operations in a fast-paced emergency and specialty environment with high patient volume.

Your Experience & Skills

·  Minimum 5+ years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)

· CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) strongly preferred

· Superior/advanced technical skills

· Has 2+ years of supervisory experience (in a veterinary clinic setting) 

· Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)

· Possesses a positive work attitude

· Self-motivated

· Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting salary of $80,000 / year. The actual salary will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
