Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in a hospital setting, Saratoga Springs, NY. Start date 09/28/2026. Duration: Weeks. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Weekly pay: $2,197–$2,230 per week. No guaranteed hours. The unit serves both adult and pediatric patients with a combined census and operates at a high-volume level in a 36-bed ED.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a high-volume ED, including triage, stabilization, procedure support, medication administration, and discharge planning.
- Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs and ECG rhythms, respond promptly to acute changes, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely treatment.
- Document thoroughly in the electronic health record (EPIC) and manage medications using the Omnicell system, maintaining accurate medication reconciliation and charting.
- Coordinate with Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Work, Phlebotomy, Rapid Response, Transportation, Unit Secretary, and Interpretation services to support patient flow and safe dispositions.
- Maintain patient safety and quality standards, participate in ongoing competency checks, and be eligible to float to other units as needed based on skillset and manager discretion.

Requirements
- NY RN license in hand (active) at submission; ability to obtain verification as required
- BLS, PALS, NIH/NIHSS certifications; EPIC charting experience; Omnicell medication system experience
- 2+ years of current Emergency Department experience; 5 years ED experience preferred
- Strong ability to read and interpret EKG rhythms; EKG/rhythm competency testing required (Relias exam within 72 hours of signing; onsite proctored rhythm test with strong accuracy)
- Education: Nursing degree with active RN licensure
- Ability to work in a hospital ED setting, handle a high-acuity, fast-paced environment, and float as needed
- Vaccinations: Flu vaccine required by 11/1; COVID-19 vaccine not required per account manager
- Compliance and onboarding: Submit recent NURSYS verification and certifications; provide references
- Local residency restrictions: Local candidates are restricted by a 50-mile radius rule from specified counties listed in compliance notes
