What We Need

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of payroll processing experience and a strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and payroll software. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and assisting with audits and reporting.

What You'll Do

• Process payroll for US and Canadian employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Calculate wages, deductions, bonuses, and overtime payments.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity.
• Manage payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Prepare payroll reports for management and assist with audits.
• Process and maintain records for benefits, garnishments, and retirement contributions.
• Work closely with the Human Resources and Accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data.
• Assist with HR functions as needed.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a company size of 250 plus.
• Strong knowledge of payroll software (e.g., Isolved, ADP, Workday, Paycom, etc.).
• Understanding of payroll tax laws, deductions, and compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information with integrity.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
• Familiarity with HRIS and timekeeping systems.
• Experience with expense reporting software is a plus.
• Experience with Canadian payroll processing is a plus.
