Avionics Technician - New Sign‑on Bonus! LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Avionics Technician with experience performing body and structural repairs on commercial aircraft for an opportunity in Goodyear, AZ. Position Summary The position of Avionics Technician is responsible to the appropriate Department Manager for the proper receipt, teardown, inspection, part/material requisition, assembly and test in accordance with approved technical data to meet established business objectives. The Avionics Technician ensures all duties are performed compliantly and with highest quality in accordance with AERSALE established guidelines. Key Position Responsibilities Perform work assignments as determined by shop management. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved technical data, customer specifications and regulatory requirements. Use appropriate inspection techniques and calibrated equipment for the unit/part being worked on. Utilize proper test equipment or suitable alternatives and perform preventative maintenance as needed. Record information and accomplish the work assignment in compliance with the Inspection Procedures Manual and Quality Policies and Procedures. Assist Department Manager and Engineers with new capability development of repairs received. Maintain open two‑way communication with Manager and teammates, appropriately sharing both good and bad news. Provide timely quotes of units; maintain gate 1 and gate 3 quotations within three days. Maintain personal and shop calibrated tools in satisfactory operational condition. Comply with all safety directives and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Work in a shop environment with the ability to lift 100 lbs. Read and interpret schematics and drawings. Relationships Reports to Department Manager. Daily interaction with Quality Inspectors, Engineers and buyers. Daily interaction with internal departments. Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience High school diploma or GED. FCC certification. Must be multi‑task/project oriented, able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced industry and meet established timelines. Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal skills for interaction with all functional levels of internal contacts. Detail oriented and organized. Computer literate, proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel). Willing to work additional hours when operational objectives require it. Strong analytical and decision‑making skills with ability to exercise informed risk‑taking to make judgment calls. Ability to prioritize and work without close supervision. Required Experience 5+ years of combined bench or line experience working on Avionics components, including teardown, inspection, parts requisition, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aircraft Avionics components such as ADF, Radio altimeter, VHF, HF, VOR/ILS, Radar, DME, Transponders, Steering computers, Instrument amplifiers, Radar indicators, Digital air data computers, Baro rate computers, Gables panels, Power transformers and Antennas. Extensive knowledge of Avionics components is required for this position. Beneficial Qualifications, Skills and Experience A&P License (Preferred). FCC certification (Preferred). Associate degree in Electronics. 2 Years aviation Avionics experience. Associate degree. Previous work experience may be considered. Knowledge of and ability to operate various test equipment (Scopes, analyzers, flukes). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects. The employee is occasionally required to push/pull, stack, reach above shoulder level or carry light‑weight materials. Safety Hazards of the job Exposure to hazardous chemicals, abrasive blast residue, paint fumes, high‑pitch sound may occur. Personal Protective Equipment required in specified areas.
