Job Description:


- Shift: Days, 7 AM - 7 PM
- Start Date: ASAP
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, 2 to 4 shifts per month (rotated between staff)
- On Call Requirement: Yes, 2 to 4 shifts per month (rotated between staff)
- Floating Requirement: Will float to all Med/Surg departments
- Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
- EMR Used: EPIC
- Dress Code: Grey Scrubs

Summary:
- Be a competent nurse practicing independently in a clinical setting.
- Provide routine and complex care while managing contingencies of clinical nursing.
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate to ensure optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Meet expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: BLS required; RN License in the state of employment or compact
