Radio Bakery - Prospect Heights
Radio Bakery is a New York City bakery that focuses on sweet and savory croissants, sourdough bread and sandwiches. We are anticipating opening our second location in Prospect Heights at the end of February and are looking to fill several baker positions. You will be a part of the opening team at one of the best bakeries in NYC. We are looking for candidates that want to grow with company, can be flexible, and have emotional resilience.
Skills & Requirments:
- The ideal baker should have at least 2 years of experience in a bakery or restaurant setting
- Must demonstrate the ability to work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic and physically intensive setting
- Ability to multitask, be humble, and ask questions
- Must be able to work as a team as well as individually, have a passion for the craft, positive attitude, and desire to learn
- Must be work cleanly, upholding DOH standards
- Availability to work during holidays and weekends, including a morning shift starting at 4am
- Ability to remain on your feet for an entire shift and lift over 50 pounds as needed
- Must be based in NYC and be a US Resident or Visa Holder
This Position:
We are looking for morning bakers that also handle production. We are also looking to fill bread mix and lamination positions.
- Pastry production including mixing cookie dough, custards, creams, frangipane
- Lamination, shaping croissants
- Mixing, scaling, shaping croissant dough, focaccia, sourdough bread
- Proofing and baking of croissants, croissant based items, bread, focaccia, and stirato
- Bring a positive attitude to work every day... it's a small space, vibes are contagious!
- Full time position, 40 hours/ week
- AM Shift hours: 4am - 12:30pm (subject to change)
- PM Shift hours: 10am - 6:30pm (subject to change)
