Job Title: Android Developer Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Contract Duration - 6 Months Pay Rate: $82/hr Note: We are not able to consider C2C or third-party submissions Role Overview We are seeking an Android Developer to create and enhance customer-facing digital experiences. The role involves developing Android solutions that align with product strategy and adhere to engineering best practices. You will partner with cross-functional teams including Software Engineers, UX/UI designers, and Product Owners to deliver high-quality mobile applications. Key Responsibilities Develop Android solutions that deliver on Product Strategy and adhere to established engineering best practices, design guidelines, and principles. Partner with Software Engineers, UX/UI, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high-performing, quality customer experiences. Actively engage with developers across various disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.). Own delivery of major components and platform needs in partnership with senior engineers and Architects. Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across sprint teams. Review pull requests and ensure adherence to Kotlin and other language idioms. Required Qualifications Experience building Android applications. Proficiency in Kotlin. Experience with unit testing (such as JUnit) and UI testing. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with AI tools and integrating AI-assisted workflows. Experience with open source frameworks and automated test tooling.
