Senior Product Owner

Signature Aviation Technology is building the next-generation guest-focused private aviation experience, and the Senior Product Owner will play a key role on our Digital Technologies team. This position will be key to our success by owning and driving one or more components of our digital guest experience. As one of our Senior Product Owners, you will work closely with internal clients to identify and design digital experiences for our guests, manage a backlog of those experiences, break down the details into digestible components for our engineering team, and support them in development and testing. In the end, you will be responsible for confirming that the expectations are met and presenting the solution to the internal clients where the concept began.

Responsibilities

1. Work directly with internal clients, end users, product engineering, technology operations, and other product teams.
2. Collaborate with the Product Engineering Manager, SCRUM master, and Engineering team to ensure the quality and timely delivery of application solutions.
3. Perform testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and documentation of various applications.
4. Manage the backlog, prioritize features, and communicate business value and expectations to the development team and stakeholders.
5. Evaluate business requirements to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Analyze data and processes to uncover insights and trends that inform solution design.
6. Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and designs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance standards, and technical feasibility.
7. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, facilitating clear communication and understanding. Present findings, recommendations, and progress updates to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
8. Track and assess product progress at each stage of the process.
9. Collaborate with assigned SCRUM teams to ensure adherence to Agile principles and values.
10. Monitor and report product status to internal clients.
11. Manage the product backlog to align with the strategic direction outlined in the product roadmap.
12. Develop and communicate the product goal, clearly prioritize, and order product backlog items to maximize business value in collaboration with internal clients and SCRUM teams.
13. Support Change Management and Training teams by providing content for user manuals and process guides.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or Information Technology and five (5+) years related work experience or eight (8+) years equivalent work experience.
• Experience juggling scope, budget, and time, weighing priorities, and making trade-offs according to the needs and objectives of stakeholders.
• Experience acting as a Product Owner or SCRUM Master in Agile ceremonies.
• Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to engage, persuade, and inspire partners and stakeholders at a functional level to achieve cooperation and alignment.

Additional knowledge and skills:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner with diverse implementations.
• Ability to maintain clarity around the product vision despite the changing and fast-paced nature of Agile product development.
• Experience with eCommerce or other customer-facing internet properties.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with business process mapping and re-engineering.
• Strong understanding of the SCRUM framework, roles, ceremonies, artifacts, and tools.
• Excellent organizational skills, individual initiative, and personal accountability
• Proven track record of delivering products or services in collaboration with engineering teams, as well as a high level of expertise in prototyping, iterative development, and grasp of Agile concepts
• Proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage the demands of multiple projects successfully
• Proven track record of effectively driving end-to-end delivery of data and intelligence solutions, covering a wide range of methods such as dashboards, APIs, real-time alerts, and so on
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in product management software, project management software, and documentation tools.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma concepts and processes.
• Certified SCRUM Master or Certified Product Owner certification is a plus.
• Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or relevant technical certifications is a plus.
• PMP Certification is a plus.
