Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments for clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, to evaluate their mental health needs.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans reflecting their unique goals, preferences, and circumstances.

• Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring each session is tailored to promote optimal outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to facilitate informed decision-making.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to respond to changing needs and circumstances.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will specifically focus on individuals grappling with various mood disorders. These include but are not limited to, clients experiencing chronic depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Our clientele is diverse, representing various backgrounds, ages, and mental health experiences, providing you with the opportunity to utilize your cultural competence and therapeutic skills in a supportive setting.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Strong working knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with psychiatric professionals.

• A proven track record of successful outcomes in the treatment of mood disorders.
