Senior Accountant

Annual Salary: $60,000 – $67,000 per year About the Role This fully remote Senior Accountant position supports a portfolio of client accounts in a multi-client accounting environment. The role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a strong foundation in accrual accounting and GAAP, who is comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a remote setting. You will be responsible for executing core accounting functions, supporting month-end close processes, and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple clients. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work efficiently within structured workflows and processes. What You’ll Do Perform full-cycle accounting tasks, including transaction coding, reconciliations, and accrual-based adjustments. Support month-end close processes across multiple client accounts. Prepare and review financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports. Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with GAAP. Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner. Manage workload across multiple client engagements simultaneously. Communicate effectively with internal team members regarding deadlines, priorities, and issues. Follow established workflows, documentation standards, and internal control procedures. Maintain organization, responsiveness, and accountability in a fully remote environment. Work primarily within QuickBooks Online and utilize internal tools to support accounting accuracy and close processes. Contribute to process improvements and documentation as systems and workflows evolve. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Strong working knowledge of accrual accounting and GAAP principles. At least 2 years of experience in a multi-client accounting or bookkeeping firm environment. At least 2 years of experience working in a remote environment. Hands‑on experience using QuickBooks Online. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide at least one professional reference from a direct supervisor (two preferred). Nice to Have Experience working with both nonprofit and for-profit clients. Familiarity with professional service clients such as law firms. Experience using accounting tools such as Double (formerly Keeper). Experience with review and close tools such as Right Tool or similar platforms.
