Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of mindfulness-based interventions to clients, focusing on stress reduction and overall emotional well-being.
• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify clients' personal stressors, challenges, and therapeutic goals, customizing mindfulness strategies accordingly.
• Lead individual therapy sessions by guiding clients through mindfulness exercises, meditation, breathing techniques, and self-reflection practices to develop self-awareness and emotional regulation.
• Facilitate engaging group workshops on mindfulness methods, stress management, and resilience-building strategies, fostering a supportive community of learning and growth.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and healthcare providers to integrate mindfulness into a holistic treatment strategy tailored for each client.
• Maintain precise documentation of client interactions, including mindfulness interventions, treatment plans, and ongoing progress to ensure high-quality care.
• Commit to ongoing personal mindfulness practice and professional development, deepening expertise in MBSR to enhance therapeutic efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client base will consist of individuals from diverse backgrounds seeking mental health support, including those struggling with anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders. By focusing on mindfulness methodologies, you will help these individuals cultivate personal tools for emotional resilience and provide a safe space for personal growth and healing.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
• Strong familiarity with mindfulness techniques and the ability to integrate these methods within therapy sessions.
• Excellent communication skills that foster a nourishing therapeutic atmosphere conducive to client openness and growth.

Preferred Experience

• Prior training or certification in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or similar mindfulness approaches.
