Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify clients' underlying stressors and personal goals, using empathetic listening and tailored evaluation techniques.
• Develop individualized therapy plans incorporating mindfulness practices suited to the specific needs of clients, to enhance self-awareness and emotional regulation.
• Guide clients through mindfulness exercises, including meditation, breathing techniques, and self-reflection methods, to promote mental clarity and emotional stability.
• Facilitate engaging group workshops that focus on mindfulness practices, stress management, and resilience-building, helping participants cultivate their inner resources.
• Use evidence-based therapeutic models in conjunction with mindfulness to address a variety of mental health concerns, ensuring clients feel safe and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population seeking therapeutic support for anxiety, depression, stress-related conditions, and other mental health challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding individuals towards achieving their mental health goals while promoting a balanced and mindful lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• Demonstrated proficiency in integrating mindfulness practices into therapeutic interventions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to foster a calming environment, encouraging clients to engage openly during sessions.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, utilizing mindfulness-based techniques in therapy is preferred.
• Training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or similar mindfulness-based methodologies is a significant advantage.
• Experience in group facilitation and conducting workshops is beneficial for this role.
