Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or Education, active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, and a minimum 1+ years BCBA experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting contract role is available for a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supporting private schools throughout the Lake County area. This position offers a dynamic, itinerant model, primarily on-site, serving a diverse student population requiring behavioral consultation and intervention.

The professional in this role will utilize their BCBA expertise to conduct functional behavioral assessments, develop and monitor behavioral intervention plans, and provide both individual and group behavioral therapy. Collaboration is at the heart of this role—expect to work closely with Exceptional Student Education Administrators, school staff, and students, contributing meaningfully to positive behavioral outcomes across multiple settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments through observation, consultation, and record review, delivering written reports as directed.
• Design targeted Behavioral Intervention Plans for individual students or entire classrooms, aligned with assessment findings.
• Train and supervise faculty and staff responsible for implementing intervention plans, ensuring fidelity and robust data collection.
• Deliver behavioral therapy sessions, as indicated, to address specific student or group needs.
• Monitor intervention programs, modifying strategies to maintain and generalize skills, and support transition times as required.
• Guide school teams in delivering social-emotional curriculum, lessons, and evidence-based interventions, including crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Holds current and active Board-Certified Behavior Analyst certification (national level).
• School-based BCBA experience strongly preferred, but not required.
• Skilled at staff training, consultation, and developing functional, actionable behavior support plans.
• Prepared to complete a two-part onboarding and background process, responding promptly to credentialing requirements.
