Sterling Foods is seeking a Parts Associate to join our organization!The Parts Associate reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for maintaining stock of all parts/supplies in the shop. The Parts Associate ensures that the shop team members have the parts and supplies they need to keep production running smoothly and on schedule. ResponsibilitiesAccurately purchase and receive all parts and supplies for the shopMaintain a limited stock on approved parts for the shop, and locating available parts if inventory is out of stockMaintain cleanliness and organization in the parts room, parts shelves and the various supply binsKeep and maintain an efficient and organized filing system for purchase orders, part requisitions and work ordersCreate and process damage and warranty repair work ordersEnter equipment maintenance recordsRegularly communicate with the Maintenance Manager regarding vendor issues, back order parts, damage and warranty repairsMaintain a neat and organized workspace May be required to help load/unload and pick-up equipment or partsDevelop and maintain effective and professional relationships with vendorsRequired Skills and ExperienceFamiliarity with manufacturing equipment /food industry preferredExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenComputer literateFluency in the English language, verbal and writtenBilingual preferred (English and Spanish)High school diploma or equivalentPhysical Exertion required. Including, but not limited to: walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
