Registered Nurse (RN) Interventional Radiology

An Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse assists with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Responsibilities include patient preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care in a specialized radiology suite.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for procedures such as angiography, embolization, or biopsies.
Monitor vital signs and sedation, alerting the radiologist to any changes.
Maintain a sterile field and assist with device management.
Educate patients about procedure steps, potential risks, and recovery.
Document procedural details and coordinate post-procedure care instructions.

Work Environment:

Within hospital radiology or imaging departments.
Requires technical proficiency with imaging equipment and contrast media.
Involves close collaboration with radiologists, technologists, and other specialists.
