Technical Customer Success Manager

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Customer Success Manager for our client, a retail customer engagement platform and point-of-sale specialist. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule in Chicago, Illinois. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Customer Success Manager to manage and grow strategic relationships with major US retail clients. You will be responsible for ensuring successful onboarding, adoption, and expansion of our marketing technology solutions, acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders and driving measurable business outcomes. Responsibilities Lead onboarding and implementation programs for enterprise retail clients, ensuring successful deployment and adoption of marketing technology solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with executive and operational stakeholders across client organizations. Develop customer success plans aligned to client business objectives and revenue growth targets. Drive product adoption, value realization, retention, and account expansion opportunities. Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Delivery, and Commercial teams to resolve client challenges and deliver strategic initiatives. Conduct regular business reviews, performance reporting, and roadmap discussions with clients. Identify opportunities to optimize customer engagement, loyalty, retail media, and promotional effectiveness through our platform. Qualifications 5+ years' experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Consulting, or Client Services within SaaS, Marketing Technology, Retail Technology, Loyalty, CRM, or Customer Data platforms. Proven experience managing large enterprise clients, preferably major US retailers. Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior executives and business leaders. Experience leading complex technology onboarding, implementation, or transformation programs. Previous management consulting experience, particularly involving technology implementation, customer transformation, or marketing technology deployment, is highly desirable. Commercially minded with a track record of driving customer retention, growth, and long-term strategic partnerships. Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills. Preferred Retail, grocery, convenience, pharmacy, or omnichannel retail sectors. Loyalty, CRM, retail media, customer engagement, personalization, or promotional technology. Working with large-scale POS, customer data, or marketing technology ecosystems.
