HR Generalist

Provide full-service employee relations support, including disciplinary conversations, investigations, and terminations Support general benefits activities Provide HRIS support and manage information Conduct compliance-related activities, including ensuring regulations and certifications are met Support recruitment when needed Coordinate employee leaves with HR leaders to ensure compliance with legislation and company policies Monitor employment and case law affecting supported regions Provide high-level customer service to internal and external customers Regularly review compensation for FLSA compliance Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex or sensitive matters appropriately Review and create internal policies and procedures Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed Travel to New York City for team meetings and visit offices/acquisition-related support Requirements Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as a Generalist required 4-5 years’ experience in Human Resources preferred Bachelor’s degree preferred Healthcare recruitment experience highly preferred Experience using an HRIS system required; Workday preferred Experience using an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Working knowledge and application of HIPAA and OSHA compliance Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Excellent employee and candidate relationship-building skills Must be agile, fast-paced, and innovative Must have a valid driver’s license Must be located or planning to relocate to the Upstate New York Region Must be available to travel to offices/acquisition-related support, typically 1-2 days at a time Schedule availability: 9am-5pm EST, Monday-Friday Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in employee relations, compliance, and HRIS management, with a strong focus on healthcare recruitment and regulatory adherence.
