What You'll Do

• Learn to operate production machines and understand how the back stand and roll setup work
• Set up and splice paper rolls to keep production running smoothly
• Identify paper types and sizes to ensure correct tube orders
• Monitor equipment and make simple adjustments based on work orders
• Read and follow work orders to meet job requirements
• Keep the production area clean by clearing off-cuts, tubes, and debris
• Stack finished products onto pallets or into boxes
• Build and prepare pallets for shipment
• Use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, saws, and nail guns
• Operate pallet jacks (manual and electric) to move materials
• Float between tasks and assist operators as needed
• Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe, productive environment
• Perform basic measurements using tape measures and rulers

• Ability to follow instructions from operators and leadership
• Willingness to learn new machines, tools, and processes

• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating quantities
• Comfort using hand tools
• Ability to operate pallet jacks or learn to use an electric one
• Commitment to safety and following procedures
• Physical ability to stand, lift, and stack throughout the shift

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• General labor or production experience
• Machine operation experience
• Forklift experience (a plus)
• Interest in becoming an operator
• Comfort working in a small, close-knit team

Work Environment

• Close-knit team of about 15 people

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Inver Grove Heights, MN.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
