Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized echocardiography and ultrasound imaging services to patients across diverse age groups. Collaborates with physicians to deliver accurate diagnostic data for patient care and treatment planning.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cardiovascular and non-invasive imaging procedures, including M-Mode, 2-D, Doppler echo, and vascular ultrasounds.
• Analyze images and measurements to ensure quality and accuracy, adhering to patient-specific requirements.
• Assist physicians by anticipating imaging needs and providing technical insights during examinations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, findings, and patient information.
• Keep current with advancements in echocardiography and ultrasound technology through ongoing education.
• Mentor and precept new staff members to ensure clinical competency and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasonographer (RDCS) certification.
• Possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Have at least two years of recent experience as a cardiac ultrasound sonographer.
• Demonstrate proficiency in vascular, pediatric, and fetal echocardiography via certification or experience.
• Maintain current licenses and certifications specific to cardiovascular ultrasound procedures.
