Psychiatrist - On-site Compensation: $150 - $185 per hour (based on experience and contract type) Location: Austin, TX Hours: Part-time, Full-time, PRN Position Summary The MindCare Psychiatrist will provide inpatient or outpatient support and oversight to the medical division within MindCare Solutions. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed. Create individualized treatment plans including medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions. Perform chart audits, peer reviews, attend meetings, and manage providers. Maintain up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and standards of care. Maintain confidentiality of patient information; audit files to ensure documentation of all services; review patient status to verify completion of treatment and therapeutic programs. Collaborate closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff for integrated care. Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute episodes, and work proactively to prevent incidents. Comply with all applicable regulations, laws, policies, and standards. Qualifications Licensed in TX as a psychiatrist. Minimum of 2 years inpatient experience, trauma experience required. Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency). Valid, unrestricted DEA license in TX. Proficient in using telemedicine technologies. Open to collaboration with PMHNP (preferred).
