Billing Specialist

Location: Charlotte, NC


Compensation: $65-70k

• Manage high-volume, end-to-end billing for approximately 6,000 customers across commercial and E-Rate accounts.
• Process accurate invoices, billing adjustments, order entry, cash application, and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Work closely with Sales, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Collections, and Customer Care to ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Maintain detailed billing records and ensure transactions comply with internal policies, contracts, and applicable requirements.
• For the Senior role, manage E-Rate billing , including funding commitments, reimbursement tracking, documentation, reconciliations, and audit readiness.
• Monitor billing schedules and ensure invoices align with approved funding, contract terms, and service milestones.
• Investigate and resolve customer billing issues while providing strong phone and email communication.
• Utilize systems including Salesforce and NBS while leveraging strong ERP/system and technical skills.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where attention to detail, organization, and urgency are critical.
• Senior-level candidates should bring 5+ years of billing experience , with government contracting and E-Rate knowledge strongly preferred.
