Billing Specialist

LHH is assisting a client with their need for a direct hire billing specialist. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team. This is a hybrid opportunity in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and send accurate invoices in accordance with company procedures and billing schedules.
  
• Verify billing information, including customer details, pricing, purchase orders, contract terms, and supporting documentation.
  
• Maintain accurate customer account records and update billing information as needed.
  
• Process payments, credits, and adjustments in the accounting or billing system.
  
• Reconcile customer accounts and research discrepancies related to invoices, payments, or outstanding balances.
  
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue invoices as needed.
  
• Respond to customer billing inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  
• Partner with sales, operations, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve billing issues.
  
• Assist with month-end close activities, reporting, and documentation.
  
• Maintain organized billing records for audit and compliance purposes.
  
• Identify opportunities to improve billing accuracy, efficiency, and overall processes.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, accounting support, or administrative finance preferred.
  
• Utilities industry experience is beneficial
  
• Positive attitude
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and follow-up skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
