ASAP START | 13-WEEK TEMP-TO-PERM OPPORTUNITY

Looking for an experienced Texas-licensed pharmacist with strong prescription verification skills for a growing pharmacy operation in Houston. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door through a 13-week contract with the potential to transition permanently.

Position Details:

• 13-week temp-to-perm assignment
• ASAP start
• Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Weekends as needed
• 1st shift
• Pharmacy system: LifeFile
• Competitive weekly pay

Responsibilities:

• Perform final verification of compounded prescriptions
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, interactions, labeling, and patient information
• Ensure compounded medications meet quality and regulatory standards
• Work closely with sterile and non-sterile compounding technicians
• Resolve prescription, formulation, and documentation issues
• Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to pharmacy technicians

Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist License
• Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school
• 1+ year of pharmacist experience ; 2+ years preferred
• Closed-door or compounding pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience with prescription verification and medication safety
• Comfortable working in a high-volume environment
• Knowledge of USP <795> , <797> , <800> , TSBP, DEA, and HIPAA requirements preferred
