Work Environment\n

This role is set in a fully remote telehealth environment, allowing you to engage with clients through a secure digital platform. Our counseling framework is built on flexibility, enabling mental health professionals to effectively reach and support elderly individuals who may have mobility restrictions or reside in remote areas. The work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts dependent on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the unique challenges faced by older adults, including cognitive and emotional changes.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations, considering each patient’s cognitive abilities, physical health, and social support systems.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to geriatric psychiatric conditions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy and supportive counseling, addressing both individual and family dynamics.

• Work closely with a team of geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care plans that promote holistic health.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate supportive services during mental health emergencies, utilizing established protocols for elderly patients.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and community resources to empower informed decision-making.

• Maintain confidential and accurate documentation, meeting legal and ethical standards, while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engage in regular team meetings and collaborate on case consultations to share insights and strategies for improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current professional license (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Psychologist) in the state of California.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred to ensure a deep understanding of the complexities of geriatric mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, starting from USD 115,000 to USD 130,000 annually, reflecting your expertise and experience.
