Lab Support Technician - Float

Job Overview Saint Luke's Health System is seeking a Float Lab Support Tech to join our team. Responsibilities Collect patient specimens in accordance with laboratory policy, procedures, and regulatory standards. Document receipt of patient samples in the Lab Information System (LIS) and prepare them for analysis. Correlate patient samples to provider laboratory test orders in the LIS/EMR. Perform and report Point of Care laboratory testing as required. Use education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection. Communicate effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections. Serve in a float capacity across multiple campuses to provide staffing coverage. Shift Details Full‑time nights. Three 12‑hour shifts per week (6p.m. – 6:30a.m.). Weekends, holidays, and hard‑to‑staff commitments are required.
