Director of Sales

Orion Solutions Group is working with a family-owned, asset-light logistics provider headquartered in Michigan in search of a Director of Sales. Our client is renowned for its strong leadership of seasoned logistics professionals and offers a full suite of transportation services—including truckload, flatbed/specialized, expedited freight, and cross-border solutions. The Director of Sales will lead and develop the existing sales team while continuing to build the sales organization and drive new business growth. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, expanding market presence, and building long‑term customer relationships. The Director will also play an active role in new business development, working with customers to understand their transportation needs and deliver customized freight and logistics solutions. This individual will foster a sales culture focused on accountability, collaboration, customer service, and consistent growth. Proven sales leadership experience, including recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and developing sales professionals. Demonstrated success prospecting, developing, and closing new business. Proven ability to organically grow customer relationships and drive repeat business. Experience with multiple transportation services, including truckload, LTL, refrigerated, and flatbed/specialized.
