Registered Nurse - CVICU

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled CVICU Registered Nurse to provide critical care for cardiac patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role involves delivering advanced nursing interventions and ensuring optimal patient outcomes during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist cardiologists and healthcare team in delivering specialized critical care to cardiac patients.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, ECGs, and other clinical data to assess patient condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Document patient progress, treatments, and responses accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and recovery processes.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio RN license or compact state license in hand at the time of application.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent CVICU experience; travel experience acceptable.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; active and in hand at submission.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores.
• Be able to work at least every other holiday as required.
• Be nicotine-free, with a negative 10-panel drug screen completed within 12 months.
