Shifts: 40hrs Monday - Friday Days (between 7:30am - 5:30pm EST), no call/no holidays


Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated X-Ray Technologist for a Travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This role is essential in performing diagnostic imaging for patients, and it involves working in dynamic environments at Sawgrass and Marketplace (Miracle Mile). The X-Ray Technologist will play a critical role in patient care and diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities of the X-Ray Technologist

• Verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
• Use x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians' written orders.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients and answer their questions.
• Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
• Handle all radiologic equipment safely and properly, keeping dose to patient as low as possible.
• Observe each patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to meet age-specific needs.
• Produce diagnostic, high-quality images for interpretation by the Radiologist.
• Promptly notify management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.
• Utilize electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, and the appropriate exam.
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly identifying images and assuring they are sent to the PACS system correctly.

Requirements of the X-Ray Technologist

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and ARRT Certification.
• NYS license (or ability to obtain prior to starting).
• 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience.
• Comfortable in the OR and with some portables.
• Ability to move or lift patients.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Patient and compassionate disposition.
• Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment.
• BLS Certification.
• Experience using c-arm/o-arm in the past 8 months.
