Posting Summary Rutgers University-New Brunswick (RU-NB) invites applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure‑track engineering faculty position in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME). The expected start date is the Fall 2026 semester. The position is a calendar year appointment and can include teaching responsibilities during the summer. Appointment at any rank commensurate with qualifications – Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor – is possible along either the Teaching or Professional Practice track. In either case, this is a career‑oriented position in which candidates will be evaluated for reappointment and promotion as appropriate. Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in lecture‑ and laboratory‑based classes.
• Advance the industry‑readiness of students through development of experiential learning opportunities.
• Coordinate and maintain course‑related laboratory equipment.
• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Assist with student recruitment, industry engagement, and development of an industry‑focused master’s program.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Chairperson.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Doctoral degree in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or a closely related discipline, plus several years of classroom and laboratory instruction experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring a diverse student population. Industrial experience in the healthcare technology sector is highly desirable. Salary Details Assistant Teaching Professor – $82,110 Associate Teaching Professor – $84,950 Teaching Professor – $95,764 Final salary will commensurate with qualifications and the rank offered.
