Paralegal Commercial Real Estate

A growing law firm in the Gwinnett County area is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to support its busy real estate practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with commercial closing experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment with strong mentorship and support.

The ideal candidate will have experience handling commercial real estate transactions from pre-closing through closing and be comfortable managing multiple files while ensuring accuracy throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate commercial real estate transactions from pre-closing through closing
• Order title work and review title commitments
• Track earnest money deposits and maintain accurate file records
• Assist attorneys with preparing and organizing closing documents
• Distribute closing packages and transaction documents to all parties
• Calculate and understand title premiums, transfer taxes, mortgage payoffs, and lien payoffs
• Facilitate wire transfers and assist with disbursement of funds
• Record closing documents and maintain familiarity with GSCCCA e-recording procedures
• Provide title commitments and related documents to the post-closing team in a timely manner
• Utilize firm software and systems to manage transaction files and workflow

Qualifications

• Prior commercial real estate closing experience strongly preferred
• Residential real estate closing experience will also be considered
• Experience with Landtech is highly preferred
• Familiarity with Open Matters
• Strong understanding of settlement statements, title work, and closing procedures
• Knowledge of wire transfers, recording requirements, and disbursement processes
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and support staff

Compensation:
$60,000-$80,000 per year
